WASHINGTON, D.C. – The Democracy Reform Task Force, led by Congressman John Sarbanes (D-Md.), today issued an update highlighting the astounding amount of time that President Donald Trump spent at Trump Organization properties during his first year in office.

All told, the President spent one-third of his time – 121 days – at Trump-owned properties, promoting his golf courses and real estate ventures, and increasing Trump Organization revenues.

“As President Trump prepares to deliver his first State of the Union address, it’s important to remember that he spent one-third of his Presidency at Trump-owned properties, helping to promote the Trump Organization and increase his company’s revenue,” said Democracy Reform Task Force Chair Rep. John Sarbanes. “This begs the question: ‘Who’s side is the President on?’ Is he doing right by hardworking American families, or is he more focused on promoting his brand and boosting his personal profits?”
