Rep. Andy Kim to Host Town Hall Meeting in Ocean County

Kim will be joined at the event by Tiffany Muller, President and Executive Director of End Citizens United Action Fund, a group dedicated to ending the influence of money in politics, named for the Supreme Court case that determined corporations and other interest groups have a constitutional right to promote campaign issues or candidates. “Kim and Muller will provide an update on efforts to reverse the impact of the Citizens United Supreme Court Case, which was decided 10 years ago this week,” the statement said. “We’re holding this town hall on the 10th anniversary of the Citizens United decision to highlight the dangers of big money in politics, and to lay out tangible next steps to root out corruption in Washington,” said Kim. “These town halls are about giving voice to the people, but we can only truly do that when we take big money out of the equation.”
